Dolly Parton heeft nog twee Emmy Awards-nominaties toegevoegd aan haar lange lijst van carrièreprestaties. De veelzijdige singer/songwriter, auteur, producer en tv- en filmpersoonlijkheid verdiende twee nominaties bij de Emmy Awards 2021, voor haar Netflix-kerstfilm “Dolly Parton’s Christmas on the Square” uit 2020.
De film ontving nominaties in de categorieën Outstanding Television Movie en Outstanding Choreography for Scripted Programming. Dolly wendde zich tot sociale media om te reageren op het goede nieuws en schreef: “#ChristmasOntheSquare is klaar voor twee @TelevisionAcad #Emmy-nominaties! Voel de liefde van Kerstmis in juli en stream vandaag op @netflixfamily”.
